Step into the action and learn about the science behind the fastest game on ice! On the second Sunday of every month, visitors to Discovery Cube LA will get an in-depth look at some of the scientific principles involved in the game of hockey.
In partnership with the LA Kings and Kings Care Foundation, “Science Sundays” feature a one-of-a-kind stage show and learning station focused on physics, center of mass, flexibility and sweat production! Did you know that LA Kings players can sweat up to 3 liters in a single game? Or that hockey Forwards, like LA Kings’ Captain Anze Kopitar, will commonly use more flexible shafts, as they require less force to bend, and are better suited to create quick and accurate wrist shots? Learn about these facts and much more every month at Discovery Cube LA during Science Sundays. Plus, while here make sure to check out the LA Kings Science of Hockey Exhibit.
Fans of the LA Kings and Discovery Cube LA are also invited to wear their favorite LA Kings clothing and support our local team. Go Kings, Go!
